In order to help you enjoy your home building experience, we have divided the construction of your new home into ten steps. Hopefully these steps will help you understand the order and type of work done.


Step One - Ready to Begin
During Step One we will assist you in financial eligibility and approval, selection of house plan and lot, and making all of the selections for your new home. Once these decisions have been made and loan approval received, we are ready to begin.

Step Two - Foundation Complete
During Step Two all pad preparation will be done. Foundation is set, necessary plumbing and any electrical will be installed. Foundation is poured.

Step Three - Framing, Sheathing, and Roofing Complete
During Step Three, all of the home's interior and exterior walls are framed in, exterior sheathing is installed, the roof is decked and shingles installed, and windows and exterior doors are set.

Step Four - Ready for Sheetrock
During Step Four electrical rough in, plumbing top out, and HVAC rough in are completed. The insulation will be installed in the walls. Exterior brick or stone work may begin during step four.

Step Five - Sheetrocked and Textured
During Step Five sheetrock is installed on all walls and texture is applied to walls and ceilings.

Step Six - Interior Carpenter Trim Work Done & Cabinets Set
During Step Six, cabinets, interior doors, closet railings and shelves, and all moldings are installed.

Step Seven - Painting, Countertops, and Cultured Marble Installed
During Step Seven, painting is completed. Countertops and cultured marble are installed. Electrical and plumbing trim are started.

Step Eight - Light Fixtures, Plumbing Fixtures, and Flooring Installed - Driveways and Sidewalks are Poured. Attic is Insulated.
During Step Eight, light fixtures and plumbing fixtures are completed. Bath hardware, shower doors and mirrors are installed. Flooring is installed. Driveways and sidewalks are poured. Attic insulation and landscaping packages are installed.

Step Nine - Builder Completion
During Step Nine, the paint touch up work and any other miscellaneous touch up and minor repairs are completed. During this stage, you will need to apply for telephone service, and have all other utilities transferred into your name.

Step Ten - Home Owner Acceptance
During Step Ten, the project manager will walk through your completed home with you and answer any questions that you may have. Once this is completed, you will sign off, accepting all workmanship and materials in the home. After this is done, your home is ready for closing and move-in!
